London homesickness

Had friends over from the UK and haven’t been homesick yet but damn seeing them made me dream happy dreams about packed tube,  full English breakfast and saying sorry to everyone you bump into. 🙂 aaaahhh..
Ohh I even miss the chavs.

Chav, (/ˈtʃæv/ chav) is a stereotype and pejorative epithet used in Britain. The stereotype was popularised in the first decade of the 21st century by the British mass media to refer to an anti-social youth subculture in the United Kingdom. The Oxford Dictionary defines “chav” as an informal British derogatory, meaning a young lower-class person who displays brash and loutish behaviour and wears real or imitation designer clothes.

  1. Homesickness cot me a fortune. After 6 weeks l returnedd to my true home America.Nice post.

    • Will one day go back to London but probably not to stay. I miss it but then after a holiday there I also am reminded on why I left, this goes for my home country Sweden as well. Guess I’ll always be moving around which is great as well..

  2. Don’t you mean ‘nightmares’ about packed tubes?

    • At the moment I’m daydreaming about the packed tube but oh yes, the tube nightmare of being a packed can of tuna and cursing the gods for warm weather so that you have that glorious smell of sweat lingering in the train. Oh my.. 🙂
