Boba Fett As A Civil War General

This is just to awesome, feeling my geek sense tingling… : )

Boba Fett As A Civil War General [PIC].

Sean Youngs behind-the-scenes Polaroids from the Blade Runner set

Blade Runner is one of my favourite movies and anything that pops up on the web about it, I have to read. So this one from Blastr got my attention straight away since I so fancied Sean Young, well still do…

Oh, sure, now that everybody has a cellphone that can snap photos, behind-the-scenes movie pics have become so plentiful they’ve almost beome a bit boring. But that wasn’t the case back when Blade Runner was being made, which is what makes Sean Young’s set pics so awesome.

Young, who had the starring role opposite Harrison Ford (and who can be seen with him as well as Rutger Hauer below), brought along her Polaroid to the set and captured some of the magic.

Check out a few of our favorites below, and go see more amazing pics over at Sean Young’s personal site.

My movie weekend is sorted

Oh boy, I so got my work cut out for me this weekend, got delivered home today a lovely set of DVDs to enjoy and I truly mean enjoy, some of the best and worst movies in a nice mix, my flatmate didn’t look to pleased but I will make her enjoy the awesomeness of these movies. Damn, I need to find myself a geeky girlfriend soon to enjoy these things with.  Any takers?

10674-largeThis one needs no introduction at all I think. Just such an inspiring movie. The biggest-budgeted movie ever produced at Germany’s UFA, Fritz Lang’s gargantuan Metropolis consumed resources that would have yielded upwards of 20 conventional features, more than half the studio’s entire annual production budget. And if it didn’t make a profit at the time — indeed, it nearly bankrupted the studio — the film added an indelible array of images and ideas to cinema, and has endured across the many decades since its release.

And Zsa Zsa Gabor in skimpy outfit                  Jack, jack, jack…. I just love this movie.
doesn’t sounds so bad in                                         This novel based movie was made for him.

Surprise me, not sure about this one.              The storyline is weak but it’s Cab!

Also remember that I did like this one as a kid but can’t remember that the Son of Kong looked so much like a doofus…

Remembered that I thought Donovan’s
Brain was excellent when I first saw it as a
15 year old, here’s hoping I wasn’t a lousy            This purchase is just because of
movie fan back then… :D                                          John Carradine, big fan….

152473-large                      152479-large 152842-large

Ok, this is probably my weakest purchase but couldn’t help it when I read the story ‘Olaf and his mother run a boarding house, and a white slavery ring. They also smuggle heroin to keep the addict girls happy, so they do not try and escape. A young couple move into the house, and the evil landlords take a liking to the female. Don’t mess with THIS Dwarf…!’ Am so a sucker f0r proper bad bad bad movies.

Laughed out loud when I found this review:

‘this film is weird, terrible acting, terrible music but lots of happy teddybears. worth watching as it is so odd it’s kinda entertaining.’

Lots of happy teddybears????? anyway,

MY WEEKEND WILL BE GREAT!

Broken Bells feat. Christina Hendricks

Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks steps out of the past and into the future in the new music video for the song "Ghost Inside," a track from the Danger Mouse and James Mercer duo Broken Bells. Haunting song and it just gets better having Christina Hendricks in the video. [tweetmeme source="erotixx" only_single=false]

Classic Icons: Vampira

[tweetmeme source="erotixx" only_single=false]600full-vampira (4)Former model Maila Nurmi played the glamour "ghoul" Vampira who weekly wandered through a hallway of mist and cobwebs to greet her weekly viewers of "B" horror movies broadcast at 11:00 PM. Vampira sported a full bust, slim waist (17-inches), tight black dress, long black hair and plenty of bug-eyed viewers.

Some of her on-air antics included talking to Rollo her pet spider; and encouraging her fans to write for epitaphs instead of autographs.

Maybe not the vintage beauties I was gonna go for this week but I just can’t help myself… muhahahaha (btw that’s my evil laugh…)

Sci-fi Week: Beautiful old sci-fi posters

Love the old fashioned posters

escape_from_new_yorkHad to nag my brother for a long time before he allowed me to watch Escape from New York, he was afraid that I would be too scared and get nightmare and of course tell on mom and dad that he showed me this movie in that case.

No nightmares but do remember being so amazed by Kurt Russells quick-witted hero and so wanted to be like Plisken when I grew up but instead am a normal travel agent worker, not exactly the same but have kept my inner Plisken around 🙂

Sci-fi Week: Morena Baccarin (V, Firefly, SG: Atlantis)

morenabaccarinvtvseriespromomq032Morena Baccarin shot to fame as the space companion Inara on Firefly, and she had a popular reoccuring role on Stargate: Atlantis as the god-like Adria. She was rumored to play Wonder Woman a couple of years ago, before WB shelved the project.

And now we get to see her eat rodents as a sexy lizard in disguise! What could be better than that?

Sci-fi Week: Legend of the Seeker Babes

Gotta love this series, if you like girls in latex, look no further. You got plenty here to choose between. The series is made after the bestseller books from Terry Goodkind, Legend of the Seeker, a grim tale but is lighter in tone in the TV-series and that’s probably for the best. The books are quite dark in a sense, never really any nice ending for the Kahlan and Richard.
