Adrienne Barbeau

horror_post_banner 600full-adrienne-barbeau (2)Adrienne Jo Barbeau (born June 11, 1945) is an American actress, as well as the author of two books. During the 1990s, Barbeau became known for providing the voice of Catwoman on Batman: The Animated Series and subsequent Batman cartoon series. Erin Brown (born October 16, 1979 in Illinois, USA) is an actress, model, and film director. Her "trademark" appearance is her pronounced "naturalness" or lack of affectation, both in acting style and appearance. Soft porn favourite of mine and she has done quite a lot of ’em…

Cassandra Peterson aka Elvira

horror_post_banner 936full-cassandra-peterson (1)

If you are blogging around you probably seen her in quite a few posts at Vera Roberts, click here for those posts.

Cassandra Peterson, Elvira’s alter ego, was born in Manhattan, Kansas, and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She remembers always being a fan of Ann-Margret. Since Cassandra saw her in Love in Las Vegas (1964), she wanted to be a dancer. Just days after graduating from high school, Cassandra traveled to Las Vegas where, at the age of 17, she became the youngest showgirl in Las Vegas history. When Elvis Presley saw her perform he encouraged her to pursue a singing career. She toured Europe extensively as lead singer for an Italian rock band. She settled in Rome, where she became fluent in Italian. Here Cassandra met Federico Fellini, who cast her in his classic film, Roma (1972). Returning to the US, Cassandra formed her own nightclub review, "Mama’s Boys", which toured the national club circuit. In the late 1970s she joined the satiric improvisational troupe, The 600full-cassandra-peterson (2)Groundlings, which also produced such stars as Paul Reubens (aka "Pee Wee Herman"). There she honed her now renowned comedic skills as both a writer and performer. Film and television appearances such as Cheech & Chong’s Next Movie (1980) and others followed, but Cassandra was just the typical struggling actress and spent years wondering where her next meal was coming from. It was the fall of 1981, with the birth of her character, Elvira, that it all changed. While she has since played herself in many film and television shows, Cassandra Peterson ultimately combines her numerous talents into an intriguing persona which has not only become a Halloween icon, but a "vamp" for all seasons.

Scare creds: Fright Night (1970-TV Series), Jekyll and Hyde… Together Again (1982), Filmgore (1983), Elvira’s Movie Macabre (1983/1984) Host, Fangoria’s Weekend of Horrors (1986), Elvira’s Halloween Special (1986-TV), Elvira, Mistress of the Dark (1988), Pledge Night (1990),The Horror Hall of Fame II (1991-TV), Heartstoppers: Horror at the Movies (1992-TV), The Elvira Show (1993-TV Series), Acting on Impulse (1993), Monster Mania (1997-TV), Superstition (1997) short film, Attack of the 50 Foot Monster Mania (1999-TV), Encounter in the Thrid Dimension (1999) short film documentary, Bride of Monster Mania (2000-TV), Elvira’s Haunted Hills (2001), Something to Scream About (2003), Monsterama: A Tribute to Horror Hosts (2004-TV), Zombie Killer (2008), The Scream (2009), The Haunted World of El Superbeasto (2009), All About Evil (2010)

Sheri Moon Zombie

horror_post_banner sheri_moon_hot_girl_whipSheri may owe her entire horror movie career to her husband, but there’s no way you could overlook someone with the name "Mrs. Zombie." Still a smoking-hot blonde who’s into really dark, sick shit other than "marry me immediately"? Sheri’s the kind of girl you take home to mom only if your mom is also into tats and death metal. Scare Cred: House of 1,000 Corpses, Toolbox Murders, The Devil’s Rejects, Grindhouse

Ali Larter

horror_post_banner ali_larter_allu_swim_smallOK, Ali Larter is not exactly a scream queen in it’s proper way, she hasn’t been in as many horror flicks as the rest but three horror movies is good enough for me and if you missed those, you have probably noticed her in Heroes. Sexy and sassy as hell. Scare cred:  House on Haunted Hill, Final Destination, Final Destination 2

Soledad Miranda

horror_post_banner Soledad Miranda was an actress who was born in Seville, Spain. She frequently starred in the films of Jess Franco, such as Count Dracula and Vampyros Lesbos. It’s such a shame that she passed away so young and she is more famous now than when she actually was alive, that always sucks.

Horror creds: Ursus (1961), Sound of Horror (1964), Pyro… The Thing Without a Face (1964), Nightmares Come at Night (1970), Sex Charade (1970), Juliette (1970), Count Dracula (1970), Cuadecuc, vampir (1970), The Devil Came from Akasava (1971), Vampyros Lesbos (1971), She Killed in Ecstasy (1971), Eugenie de Sade (1974)

Jennifer Jason Leigh

horror_post_banner 600full-jennifer-jason-leigh (3)I remember seeing Jennifer in The Hitcher (1986) and was in love instantly. Such a great role and such a scary movie (thanks to Rutger Hauer no hitchhikers is getting into my car, unless they are wearing miniskirt and is of the female persuasion).

Shawnee Smith – the Saw girl

horror_post_banner Shawnee Smith (born July 3, 1970) is an American film and television actress and musician. Smith is best known for her roles as Amanda Young in the Saw films but I hope you guys/girls did see her in the miniseries The Stand (1994), a really good adaption for once of a Stephen King novel.

Jennifer Tilly

horror_post_banner 600full-jennifer-tilly (1)Sexy Jennifer Tilly is by turns funny, compassionate, compelling and often all at once. She successfully cultivated a fan base with the revitalization of the "Child’s Play" horror comedy franchise. For Bride of Chucky (1998), the filmmakers turned to Jennifer to create the character who would spark the series in a new direction. She established a new horror icon in Tiffany. And to top it off she is quite an amazing poker player, I would forget my cards quickly if she was sitting at the same table as me.

Scare Cred: Remote Control (1988), High Spirits (1988), Embrace of the Vampire (1995), Bride of Chucky (1998), Monsters, Inc. (2001), The Haunted Mansion (2003), Jericho Mansions (2003), Seed of Chucky (2004), Tideland (2005), The Initiation of Sarah (2006), The Caretaker (2008)

Sexy Julie Strain

horror_post_banner juliesOne of the few stars I have actually meet, was working for a game developer company and on our geek trip to E3 in Los Angeles, she was doing some autographs, have a picture with me and her (she is tall as hell… I look like a midget beside her), but such a nice person. Julie Strain, with credits on more than 90 movies and videotapes, has been called "Queen of the B Movies". She is a genuine cult heroine. Her series of action/adventure and fantasy movies have earned her a fan base that many mainstream stars envy. She is a star attraction of calendars, posters and greeting cards.

A favourite of mine is the many Heavy Metal covers she has posed for.
